Event description

Carmel School is pleased to welcome Ben Wyatt as the Keynote Speaker at our 2023 Carmel Business Breakfast.

Ben Wyatt was a highly regarded politician and senior government minister who successfully transitioned to a new career at the top tier of business.

Mr Wyatt was the State Treasurer and Labor Party Member of the Western Australia Legislative Assembly for Victoria Park. After Labor’s state election win in March 2017, he became Treasurer and Minister for Finance, Energy and Aboriginal Affairs. He was the first Indigenous treasurer of any Australian parliament. Mr Wyatt retired from politics at the 2021 state election.

He was a lawyer prior to entering politics and has since established consulting firm Wyatt Martin in 2021 with his former chief of staff Roger Martin.

Post-politics, Mr Wyatt has taken up board roles at West Coast Eagles, Telethon Kids Institute, Woodside, Rio Tinto, and Perth Festival.

Growing in attendance over the past few years, the Carmel Business Breakfast is now a highly anticipated business event in our community. We are anticipating a strong response to the invitations for this event – please note that seating is limited. In previous years, we have had leaders from industries such as Western Australian Consulting, Accounting and Finance, Law, Mining and Oil and Gas sectors, as well as Members of Parliament and Opposition.

If you would like further information about this event, please contact our Director of Communications and Enrolments, Ms Lorraine Regan at lorraine.regan@carmel.wa.edu.au.

We are grateful to our Gold Sponsors for their support of this event: Jackson McDonald, NAB, the Wingate Group, Schaffer Group of Companies and Saturn Pathology.
