Carmen McRae was one of the most influential Jazz vocalists of the 20th Century. She had a prolific record and performing career spanning 6 decades and although she had more modest success than her peers, Billie, Ella and Sarah, she was widely considered their artistic equal by the Jazz world. Carmen could be opinionated, tough and outspoken, she had very high music standards and would not suffer fools gladly! She could deliver lyrics like few others, taking the listener with her into the story of the music, widely regarded as the singer's singer.

Bill has quite the impressive resume including having played with artists such as FRANK SINATRA, TONY BENNETT, LIZA MINELLI AND SAMMY DAVIS JR to name a few!!Any JOHN FARNHAM fans out there?? Those amazing sax solos on the Whispering Jack and Age of Reason albums…. they were played by Bill!
