Digital Skills for Emergencies - Community Organisation Training
Description
Emergencies are becoming more frequent and complex as our climate changes. At the same time, emergency communications are becoming increasingly reliant on digital platforms to deliver timely information to community members.
However, we know that not everyone has the digital skills or technology confidence to navigate these platforms. Everyone in Carnarvon deserves to feel equipped to access the information they need to keep themselves, their families and their communities safe.
As part of preparations for the high-risk season, come along to this free train-the-trainer workshop! You will learn to deliver an easy-read community education module covering essential emergency digital tools, including Emergency WA, Bureau of Meteorlogy and Main Roads WA.
By becoming a local trainer, you'll help others build the skills and confidence we all need to access critical information before, during, and after an emergency.
