Sword Swallowers and DJs together at last...

Step into Carnevale Jam, a bohemian anything-goes bonanza where the magic of modern improvisation meets a carnival atmosphere from the middle ages. We'll have a full band/instruments set up for the crowd to jam, while live circus-style and all sorts of performers roam throughout the space, and then finish off with back to back DJs.

The difference with this event is that it's crowd driven - we want YOU and your mates to be involved. Whether you're a musician or performer, bring your gear and join the festivities. Or just come along and get swept away with the beauty of spontaneous flow. We'll also have a few choice artists involved to keep things moving.

Musicians

Bring your instruments and join the flow (wind, percussion, stringed and also electronic gear like drum machines and synths) or use the mics, bass guitar, electric guitar, drum kit, microkorg vocoder, and baby grand piano provided. Think of a house party jam where all sorts get up and we go from punk and jazz to afrobeat and electro-rock, all in the one night.Here's some examples from musicians who'll be involved on the night:

Performers

If performance is in your blood and you've been missing the chance to perform to a crowd (and maybe join forces with other creatives) this is the place for you. Share your wares, your expressions, and create some magic. There's no restrictions on content or the amount of time to perform - come and fill the space with your sparkle. Some performers already involved include sword swingers, flo artists and medieval LARP battlers.

As the evening unfolds, we'll shift up a gear with a heap of DJs going Back2Back in short sets. They'll be mixing up all sorts of style-bending beats:
