AniSyd Carnival of the Cursed

Carnival of the Cursed is AnimeSydney’s flagship one-night Halloween-themed festival, celebrating anime and student culture. Held at the UNSW Roundhouse, this event brings together the anime societies from across Sydney, AnimeUNSW, anime@UTS, AnimeMQ and SUAnime, coming together in an immersive and energetic celebration.

This year, we are proud to be part of the Arc Clubs and Societies Festival. Check out some more events featuring student life at UNSW in this collection.

The evening will feature a wide range of activities designed to encourage social interaction and community building across universities. These include:

• A Halloween-themed cosplay competition hosted on the main stage

• Live music performances by Sunset Morioh and !nvolution

• Interactive booth activities

• Big raffle prizes to be won

• Games, trivia, karaoke, and more

Attendees can participate in a variety of engaging and accessible offerings while connecting with like-minded peers in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space.

Please note that this is an 18+ only event. IDs will be checked at the door, and failure to bring a valid ID will result in being denied entry into the event without refund. Valid IDs include driver’s license, passport, or proof-of-age card. These must NOT be scans or photos, and must be in their original form (digital ID on the ServiceNSW app is accepted, those without NSW ID are recommended to apply for a NSW Photo ID card).
