Carnival Road

Carnival Road is a Canberra based original band, performing a special blend of folk/blues/roots/alt rock.This is an evocative and driven show featuring front man Anthony Ives, who has written some beautiful, emotional and heartfelt songs all backed with searing guitar work from Ole Nielsen, and a rock solid rhythm section with Steven Deakin on Drums and Andrew Rickard on Bass.  Currently working on their second album, the lads are all experienced musicians, who deliver a tight performance developing the nostalgia and emotion to make each show memorable. If you ask them to describe their sound, they often say “It’s folk rock with an edge”. 

Supported by Craig Williams who has lived in Canberra for most of his life. Originally from Toronto on Lake Macquarie at the central Coast, Craig has been playing venues from the snowfields of NSW, to small town country clubs, pubs, restaurants & cafes for longer than he’d care to admit… Craig performs as a singer/guitarist… has an unusually pleasant vocal quality, displaying a unique signature when performing both covers & original material.
