Carriage No 7
Description
Alice is 17 and struggling with the pressure from school and society. She wonders if she was born in the wrong time and place - thinking it would be easier. She boards a train and meets seven influential female figures from the last century who help her realise maybe things were not so easy, but each of them chose a path that helped to pave the way for women's rights and roles in society.
Carriage No 7 is an original musical written and produced by Sarah Edgar, a singing, music and acting teacher at Bianca Fenn School of Music. She has been teaching several female students between the ages of 14-17 who all have a similar interest in musical theatre and performing. With her background in writing and co-writing cabarets and musicals for production company, Picked Last For Sport, she wants to help her students gain valuable experience seeing a show built from the ground up, being part of the creative process and having the opportunity to perform and use the skills they’ve learnt in their private lessons.
