Are you a Science, Visual Arts or STEAM teacher looking to bring cross-curricular capabilities to your classroom in a creative context applying new technologies? Join us for a hands-on experience with one of Casey Tech School’s most enduring programs. Microscopic Art in a context relevant to your teaching practice.

Program Outline:

During the day, we will cover:

How to use a microscope
How to prepare a slide
How to edit photos in Adobe Photoshop or Affinity
How to create Glitch Art using open source software
How to sublimate onto blanks
How to adapt these activities for your classroom.

What to Bring: Please bring your laptop with Affinity or Adobe Photoshop pre-installed.

10:00 AM – 10:30 AM	Welcome & Overview	Introduction
10:30 AM – 12:00 PM	Activity:	Microscopic Art: How to use a microscope How to prepare a slide How to edit photos in photoshop/affinity How to create Glitch Art using open source software How to sublimate onto blanks. How to adapt these activities for your classroom.
12:00 PM – 12:30 PM	Lunch Break
12:30 PM – 1:45 PM	Activity:	Sublimation printing: How to sublimation print onto blanks How to adapt these activities for your classroom.
1:45 PM – 2:00 PM	Survey & Farewell

On arrival, please leave your car registration details with the front desk for free parking and help yourself to tea and coffee. We will introduce the staff who will be looking after you for the day and provide a tour of our amazing space (if time permits).

Lunch will be provided, so please provide dietary requirements when you register.
