Cash Cropping: 101 Exploring our opportunities for Sheep and Beef farmers - Day Two
Event description
Glen Eden Farm is owned by Mark and and Susannah Guscott and is a diverse sheep & beef, arable and tourism business, covering a total of 1430ha.
Mark, an experienced sheep and beef farmer, dedicated time to visiting various farms and examining different crops before deciding to venture into cash cropping. He is pleased to share his experiences and the outcomes of that decision with you.
This event will address the opportunities, challenges, and potential barriers that a livestock farm may encounter when transitioning to cash cropping.Â
We will conduct an in-depth analysis of the current crops being cultivated.
- MaizeÂ
- Peas
- Clover and grass seeds
There will also be ample opportunity for attendees to ask questions and engage in insightful discussions with Mark.
If you are thinking about cropping and want to have a look at some of the crops you might grow and hear from the farmers that are growing then, this is a super opportunity to do that !
