Cast Iron Kid "Campfire vol. 1" EP Launch
Description
Cast Iron Kid are fast making themselves known as fearless performers and talented songwriters, steering their 3-piece ship of guitars, banjos and square-necked dobros (you don’t see too many square-necked dobros these days). We are excited to welcome them at the Gasoline Pony on the occasion of the release of their new EP, ‘Campfire vol 1’.
‘Campfire vol 1’ is a selection of 4 songs that run the gamut of their songwriting style. ‘Rascals Tonight’ recalls a raucous night on the turps to a similarly boisterous tune, while ‘Borderline’ warms the heart with it’s touching sincerity. ‘Not everything that goes that way comes back’ has at least once been described as the thinking man’s bush ballad, while the melancholy ‘Enough’ is a touching tribute and exploration of loss.
