Castle Hill Gathering 2026

For generations, Kura Tawhiti Castle Hill has been a treasured part of the St Andrew's College experience. Each year, around 1,000 students take part in Outdoor Education programmes at Castle Hill, building confidence, resilience and lifelong memories. For many Old Collegians, it remains one of the most memorable parts of their St Andrew's College journey.

On Saturday 5 December, we're inviting our StAC community to experience this special place for themselves.

Whether you're revisiting Castle Hill or seeing the lodge for the first time, we'd love to welcome you for a relaxed day of exploring, reconnecting and experiencing a special part of the St Andrew's College story.

Time: 10.30am - 3.30pm

Where: Alistair Sidey Mountain Lodge, Kura Tawhiti Castle Hill

What to Expect

· Guided tours of the Alistair Sidey Mountain Lodge

· Activities hosted by our Outdoor Education team

· Time to explore Castle Hill at your own pace

· Complimentary sausage sizzle

Transport Options

Guests can either:

· Travel by private vehicle and meet us at Kura Tawhiti Castle Hill; or

· Book a seat on the charter bus departing from St Andrew's College at 9.00am ($25.00 per person).

Further details, including meeting locations and timings, will be provided to registered attendees prior to the event.

Additional Information

· This is an alcohol-free event.

· Guests are also welcome to bring their own picnic and enjoy the lodge grounds and surrounding environment.

· As this is an outdoor event, we recommend bringing suitable clothing, comfortable footwear, sun protection and a water bottle.

Weather Notice:

· This event is weather dependent. If weather conditions are unsuitable, the event will be cancelled and ticket holders will receive a full refund. Registered attendees will be notified by email as soon as possible.
