Event description

Join published memoirist Anne Rittman for a workshop aimed at helping you to craft your story as a LGBTQIA+ person. Whether you are an experienced writer or looking to begin your first novel, please join us for an insightful discussion into exploring your life story in a supported and inclusive environment.

Anne Rittman is an accomplished writer and editor, having studied at RMIT University and trained in Ontology through Landmark Worldwide. She co-authored the coffee table book BRUNSWICK STREET: Art & Revolution with Maz Wilson in 2013. Anne's also published a second book, an expanded oral history of Bohemian Brunswick Street, in 2024. She is also the author of SPITFIRE: The Plane That Crushed Hitler’s Dreams!, a biography of her father, a WW2 photo reconnaissance pilot who was honoured with the final flight over Europe, a moment immortalized in a photograph housed in the Canberra War Memorial Museum.

Tea and coffee-making facilities provided.

Accessibility: The room used for this session, and toilets, are wheelchair and low mobility accessible. However,  we recommend anyone with accessibility needs contact Castlemaine Community House to discuss their requirements.
