Casual Adult's Watercolour classes
Event description
A series of casual watercolour classes for those who would like to extend their beginner to intermediate level skills further. Join me on Saturdays for 2.5 hr sessions of exploring with watercolours. Each week we will explore watercolour foundational techniques through different projects. Please refer to the schedule below to see what each class will entail. If you have your own materials please bring them along otherwise you may purchase materials from me for a fee (fees listed under schedule)Â
1st class November 2nd: Riverscapes 1:Â Practice and learn methods to paint water with shadows and reflections, in this class we will practive the basic techniques used to paint a river scene, we will also explore colour palettes for this topic.Â
2nd class November 9th: Riverscapes 2: Using the techniques learnt in the previous class you will learn how to draw up and paint a river scene. If you can't make it to the previous weeks class then you can opt to do that class in this sessionÂ
3rd class November 16th: Painting Aussie botanicals 1:Â In this class you will practice layering techniques using tonal value to create 3d effects in your botanical subject and painting botanical textures.Â
4th class November 23rd:Â Painting Aussie botanicals 2:Â Using the techniques from the previous lesson you will learn how to compose a botanical painting and paint your chosen subject from a selection of in season native flowers
5th class November 30th: Painting native parrots 1: Learn to paint native parrots, in this session, we will practice painting a red rumped parrot.Â
6th class December 7th: Painting native parrots 2:Â Â Learn to paint native parrots, in this session, we will practice painting a more complex bird, the Crimson Rosella.
Materials fees:Â
Watercolour paper: $1 per A3 sheet
Palette and paints $12 upfront fee
paint useage thereafter 50 cents per paint serve (1 small pea sized blob)
Brush, water jar, sponge useage: free
