Catalyst Games Workshop - City Library
Event description
Are you looking to establish certificate pathway opportunities, or to build a career across VFX, Game Development and the software engineering industries? Catalyst Games Workshop will provide you with a crash course in all things game development with industry relevant tools!
The two-day workshop is broken up into 3 main segments:
Programming - learning the basics of the Unity engine and c# language.
Art - Learning the basics of Blender 3D modeling and how to import models across programs.
Design - the fundamentals of Player Agency, Level Difficulty Balance and User Experience.
With enough time for you at the end to build and create your own game level that you can show to friends and family.
The instructors for this event are qualified Cert II and III teachers who will be delivering the workshop and also provide you with a certificate of completion and a USB with the game you've built, and some other resources to help you build your game further at home.
