Steeped in the traditional fiddle music of Scotland, the Catherine Fraser Trio present a varied programme of acoustic music arranged for fiddle, guitar, and cello - a repertoire from the 18th century right through to original contemporary compositions.

Catherine is the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards, notably Champion Fiddler, Kirriemuir, Scotland, 2005, and an Australaisan Golden fiddle award-winner (best soloist, 2010). Over the years, she has performed and taught in Scotland, Canada, the US, Germany, New Zealand and Japan.

Trent Arkleysmith (guitar) and Rachel Johnston - one of Australia's best known cellists - bring a wealth of international experience and musicality.

They have recently performed at the National Folk Festival, Canberra (2024) and will appear at the National Celtic Festival in Portarlington in June.
