The multidisciplinary performances are themed to respond to the eco-feminist stance in Stone's gentle watercolours; and her new work that emerges out of deep listening, a deeper knowing and loving of the planet.

Kyla Stone, is a young Contemporary artist living and working in Pambula Beach. Stones practice is led by her Philosophical attitude towards life. Kyla works primarily with watercolour and gouache, to capture the essence of an idea onto paper. For Kyla it’s all about achieving a concentrated version of the idea, removing any clutter, as to bring focus to the underlying visceral element, in the most potent way possible.

The Muses that are omni present in her work are women and nature. Stone is interested in the sensual interaction between the two, but also the spiritual experiences found in nature.

Stones recent work is primarily interested in examining the cause and effect of the human to nature relations. Especially focusing on the psyche of the earth and its creatures, gaining all the inspiration she needs from her daily wanderings in the Sapphire Coast.

Forever leaning towards an eco-feminist stance in her gentle watercolours; the new work emerges out of deep listening, a deeper knowing and loving of the planet. Kylaastone.com
