CBN Luncheon - Fr Michael Mahoney SM

Fr Mike Mahoney will be the speaker at the first CBN event for 2023. Fr Mike is a Christchurch Diocesan priest based in South Westland. He was part of the first ever New Zealand expedition to climb Mt Everest in 1977, has led geological expeditions to Antarctica, was a missionary in Brazil for 30 years and has spent the last 13 years as the parish priest based in Whataroa. The expedition to Everest used kiwi ingenuity to pioneer a minimalist approach to Everest expeditions that was ground-breaking at the time.
