CBN Brisbane Breakfast with Daniel Flynn

Event description

Christian Business Network (CBN) Brisbane will be hosting breakfast with Daniel Flynn on the 26th July 2024 at 6.30am at the Queensland Parliamentary Annex.

Daniel Flynn is a multi-award-winning social entrepreneur, international speaker & best-selling author.

Co-Founder of Thankyou, a social enterprise that exists all-for the end of extreme poverty, voted number 1 by Australian consumers as the most sustainable brand of 2022, placed ahead of Tesla, who ranked 2nd (Mumbrella, 2022). With over 35 disruptive, design-led and sustainable consumer products across the personal care and home cleaning categories, Thankyou has given $18.1M (AUD) to charities from products sold in Australia & New Zealand.

After the proven success of the social enterprise business model, Thankyou is now launching across the Middle East, Asia and Europe. Thankyou has been known for its unconventionality, consumer-led campaigns that resulted in flying helicopters over the head offices of Australia’s two biggest retailers, with giant signs that helped secure national product ranging, to launching a pay-what-you-want book called ‘Chapter One’ to crowdfund the expansion of Thankyou that in launch week, ended up second only to one of the Harry Potter book launches in airport bookstores across Australia, with all proceeds funding the expansion of Thankyou globally.

Daniel has been recognised in Forbes Asia 30 under 30 for Social Entrepreneurship, one of JCI’s 10 Outstanding Young People of the World, and was the recipient of EY Entrepreneur of the Year (Southern Region). Daniel has spoken in global forums around the world, most notably, being interviewed by President Barack Obama.

Queensland Parliament has no public parking facilities.

It is located at the corner of George and Alice Streets in the City and is within easy walking distance of the Brisbane CBD.

Public transport options include:

1. Busses - the free 'City Loop' council bus service which circles the CBD has a stop on George Street, near the intersection with Alice Street, that is across the road from Parliament House.

2. City Cat Ferry Terminal (the QUT Gardens Point Terminal) is located at the rear of Parliament House.

Ride Share - ask to be dropped at the Parliamentary Annex in Alice St, Brisbane.

Parking - go to www.secureparking.com.au and look at car parks that are closest to Queensland Parliament.  Prebooking generally saves time and money.

QUT Gardens Point has parking available on a "pay on exit" basis under the freeway.
