Event description

You are invited to the launch of the Christian Business Network, Brisbane CBD Branch, on Friday 24 March 2023.

This is an opportunity for those in Business, Government, Education & the Church to gather together, to network, to be equipped to serve God in their particular area.

Our first Guest Speaker is Dirk Pretorius.

Dirk is the Managing Director of Frosty Boy

Since joining Frosty Boy in 2001, Dirk has had the privilege to lead a talented team to transform the company to becoming a world leader in dessert and beverage solutions.

Today Frosty Boy delivers value-based solutions to more than 58 countries and are constantly committed to supporting our customers to succeed in their own markets through their innovative research and development, in-depth marketing and operations strategies.

Dirk's career has always been centred around the dairy industry; he grew up on a dairy farm in South Africa and studied animal science at the University of Pretoria. He began his career with a dairy processing facility, which was later sold to Parmalat. Soon after, he was offered an executive role within distribution for Parmalat South Africa.

Beginning at Frosty Boy, Dirk was excited to see the significant opportunities in the international market. In 2001, export represented only two per cent of the company’s revenue, and it now makes up for more than 70 per cent.

Highlights over the years have included bringing Frosty Boy into the steady position of maintaining a double digit growth rate year upon year while also engaging highly talented workers and knowledgeable shareholders to invest in Frosty Boy’s success.

Dirk's greatest achievement during his time at Frosty Boy has been establishing a positive culture, which places a great value on integrity, customer service and support, and he feels that this has been key to Frosty Boy’s success.

2. City Cat Ferry Terminal (the QUT Gardens Point Terminal) is located at the rear of Parliamet House.

Ride Share - ask to be dropped at the Parliamentry Annex in Alice St, Brisbane.

Parking - go to www.secureparking.com.au and look at car parks that are closest to Queensland Parliament.  Prebooking generally saves time and money.
