Renowned party starters CC the Cat deliver some of the East Coast’s finest reggae funk and soul music, featuring frontwoman Claire Cottone’s powerful voice, enigmatic presence and anthemic songs about love, spiritual growth and freedom. Hailing from Brisbane and the GC, the bangin’ 7-piece has been touring for nearly 2 decades, released 4 albums, and features some of the country’s best musicians, consistently proving themselves to be one of the most loved and revered acts on the Australian roots scene.

The all-star line-up includes drummer Dave Bell (Kingfisha), Bullhorn stalwarts Steve Buchanan (trumpet) and Tom Stewart (sax), Ange Santamaria (Darky Roots) on trombone, Rohan Seekers (Life on Earth) on keys and CC’s funkmaster little sister Julia Rose on bass and BVs. CC the Cat’s live show is packed with epic vocal hooks and harmonies, fat drum and bass grooves, punchy brass breakdowns, dubalicious keys, high energy, conscious message, deep sonic magic and dancefloor mayhem.

CC the Cat are coming back to It's Still A Secret Saturday 30 May 2025. They will be joined by Brisband Live Drum & Bass Outfit, Pure Data.

Pure Data is an innovative live dance music act bursting with liquid soundscapes, drum and bass swoon with melodic house leanings in their most empirical form. Amalgamating the explosive energy of dance music, sonic soundscapes, live instrumentation and vivid pulsing Pure Data extrapolates a deep oneness in sound and movement.

Coming to the fore from improvisational groups in Brisbane’s West End, Pure Data’s free radicals include the far sighted vocalist Lily Daoud who’s melodies ascend through both time and space floating atop of dynamic instrumentalists Shannon Kelly ( Bass ), Alister Murray ( Drums ) and Paul Watson ( Guitar ) to meld into one aural singularity.

Pure Data are peer reviewed, critically appraised and not to be missed

So grab your tix now so you don't miss out as this event will sell out!
