Dear CCF member

You are warmly invited to workshop 1 of the CCF Strategic Plan 2024-2028

Arrive: 5:30pm for light food and 6.00pm start

What to bring: Ideas and enthusiasm for the future of CCF and a pen

Output of workshop 1:
The collective statement from this workshop will not be an agreement, but will include everyone’s aspirations and concerns. Participants in the workshop will have an opportunity to review and update their input before it is shared with all members. Further steps and activities in the process will build on this Collective Statement to eventually reach a consensus.

Process:
We will work in the large group and in small groups of 6
We will explore our greatest fears and concerns and best possible outcomes for the future of CCF. Everyone will have a chance to contribute, be listened to with respect and inclusion, and creative opportunities and insights will be identified. A collective statement of all this will be shared with all members to get any missing input, and then used to guide the next steps in the process of the development of the Plan.

Context
The development of a new strategic plan to help guide the growth and future of the CCF is a key priority for the Committee for 2024. The CCF is due for the renewal of license with the ACT Government in 2025, and this Plan will be a key feature of this negotiation.

All members are welcome and encouraged to contribute your ideas and dreams for the next phase of growth for the Canberra City Farm. A series of events will be hosted to workshop members contributions, starting with this one in Feb 2024. We expect the process to complete with a published Strategic Plan by July 2024. The next step will be to create a yearly operational plan to bring the Strategic Plan into reality.

This is a time of opportunity and growth for the positive future of the Canberra City Farm in the ACT and regional community and local food system.

The CCF 2024-2028 Strategic Planning Team is made up of committee members Pam Boyer, Jenni Savigny, John Peters and Mark Spain. If you can’t make it, send your ideas, questions and offers of involvement to the organising team at canberracityfarm@gmail.com with the subject "CCF Strategic Plan”

Warmly
Jenni, Pam, John and Mark (on behalf of the committee)
