NSW CENTRAL CDAT REGION TRAINING DAY
Event description
Welcome CDAT members to the NSW Central Region Training Day!
It's going to be a fabulous day with the Drug and Alcohol First Aid Training that will be delivered by Lives Lived Well.
This training is for our valued CDAT members to feel more confident in the Alcohol and Drug space.
The proposed outcomes of Drug and Alcohol First Aid are:
1. Increase participants’ knowledge of substance use, problematic use, and dependence.
2. Equip participants to respond to a variety of situations involving substance use, including intoxication and emergencies.
3. Reduce the barriers to effective conversations about substance use.
The workshop sessions will cover:

Getting to the Central Coast Clinical School and Research Institute (CCCSRI) building
The CCCSRI building is adjacent to the main pedestrian entry of Gosford Hospital.
You can access the building from Holden Street (north and south), or alternatively via the car park exits on Showground Road.
- Upon arrival take the lift to level 6 where you will exit and walk 100m until you see the under-cover entrance below the University of Newcastle and NSW Government sign.
- The concierge will instruct you to take the lift to level 9 where you will be directed to the registration desk.

- Carparking or accessing the building from the drop-off zone:
A multi-story car park (P2) is accessible from Showground Road which charges a daily rate of $20.20. Please retain your receipt and claim the expense from your CDO. Use the lifts in the car park or on ground floor, to get to the CCCSRI Building which is accessible from Level 6. - By Train
The building is located within a two minute walk from Gosford Train Station. Take the Showground Road Exit, when leaving the station. Turn right and walk 300m along Showground Road, until you come to the large Hospital visitor drop-off point and entrance and P2 Parking station entry. Take the lift to Level 6.
