Get an early glimpse into this first-of-a-kind tool combining community resilience with hazard exposure in a publicly available online platform.

The Community Disaster Risk and Resilience Index (CDRRI) provides an opportunity for government, corporate and philanthropists to guide targeted investment into communities and at-risk areas.

Developed through a collaboration between The Resilience Canopy, ResilientCo, and funding support from RACQ, the Queensland pilot has pulled together bushfire, flood, cyclone and extreme heat exposure data and combined into a multi-hazard index at the SA2 level. The index assesses community resilience across social, economic, built, natural, and health and safety environments.

Queensland is the first state to benefit from the new Index. The pilot provides the evidence base and learning pathway for expansion to other states and across Australia.

Join the collaborators for an interactive demonstration and conversation about:

  • What a more holistic view of community risk could mean for resilience, preparedness and investment

  • How better data and insights could help inform more targeted, place-based approaches

  • How the Index can be used in practice and where it could go next

Lunch provided. Places are limited.
