CECC Three Minute Thesis Finals
Event description
One slide, three minutes, show us your thesis.
The Three Minute Thesis competition is a hugely successful international competition which sees higher degree research candidates demonstrating their communication skills, while at the same time showcasing their research.
But this year at CECC we’re doing it differently, we will not just be hearing from the students – rather everyone will have the opportunity to participate and give us a three minute ‘Best of’ on their thesis or recent work. We’ll go for the students first, and then our staff while the judges deliberate.
There are small cash prizes for participating students decided by an illustrious jury, and a mystery prize for the best non-student participant chosen by popular vote. So now is the time to:
- Talk to your students (or supervisors!) about the 3MT. Learn more about the ANU competition here.
- Register your interest to participate as a (student or non-student) presenter for your chance to impress your peers, and
- Team up with your colleagues, friends and family to support you and our students at the event.
Register to participate with your school HDR Admin Team at: hdradmin.comp@anu.edu.au, hdradmin.cybernetics@anu.edu.au or hdradmin.eng@anu.edu.au by COB 13th of June 2024.
