Celebrate 100 Year's of our Red Hill Community Hall


Join current and past residents and friends of Red Hill and surrounds as we celebrate a century of stories, music and memories at our beloved community hall. Note: All people need to register.

From the Saturday night dances of yesteryear to weddings, scout meetings and flower shows, the Red Hill Hall has long been the heart of our community — a place where generations have gathered to connect, celebrate and belong.

👗 🎩 Channel the charm of days gone by — come dressed in dazzling vintage style or simply add a timeless touch of yesteryear.

What's on inside the hall?

🎶🕺🏽 Music & Dance Sessions with Perch Creek Band

Session 1: 6.30pm - 8pm, Family-friendly Session

Session 2: 9pm - 10.30pm, Sweetheart Session

Perch Creek are a band of five exuberant and multi-talented musicians, four of whom are siblings. This Melbourne-based international touring act, write and perform harmony driven modern pop/folk music with a creative energy and fearless spirit.

$30 for individual tickets, $50 for the family, includes free membership to the Red Hill Community Association.

Note: The hall capacity is limited to 120 tickets per session. Get in quick! Cash sales are available at the Red Hill Op Shop.

  • Live music by The Calmer Miles

  • Song from Red Hill Consolidated School choir (6.15pm)

  • Festoon lighting and fire pits

  • Horse and hay-ride

  • CFA sausage sizzle (gold coin donation)

  • Historic photographic exhibition and supper table in the hall kitchen

  • Images and light show on the hall exterior

  • Memorabilia time-tunnel

  • Storyteller’s corner

  • Floral arch photo booth.

🎤 Formal program: 8pm - 8.30pm

  • Acknowledgement of Country with Lionel Lauch on didgeridoo

  • Official launch by MP Mayor, Anthony Marsh

  • Launch of an oral history of the hall

  • Sealing of the Red Hill Hall time capsule

  • Cutting of a celebration cake.

🧺 BYO Food & Drinks & What to bring

  • Help us create a fun, zero-waste community event (leave no foot-print).

  • Seating and tables will be provided.

  • BYO picnic dinner and drinks (alcohol permitted), plates, glasses, cups and cutlery.

  • Coordinate with your friends and bring a plate to share.

  • If you're keen, bring a plate of home-made goodies from yesteryear for the supper table. (Please provide an ingredients label.) 

🚗 🅿️ Getting there and parking

We are expecting a large crowd at this event. To avoid traffic congestion and delays and to ensure your family’s safety, please:

  • Leave the car at home and walk

  • Drop off your passengers at the 2-minute drop-off zone in front of the Red Hill Op-shop and park nearby

  • Disabled/ elderly parking (with permit) in front of the CFA.
