Celebrate Imbolc with Dreams and Enchantment!

Event description

Think of how quickly we could heal this world if more of us were dancing, singing, dreaming, storytelling and spending time in silence together, celebrating the seasons. Let's do it! Come join us! No experience necessary, no strings or obligations or cost, just hearts in celebration.

We'll be in person at the Renton library and also broadcasting over Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84797356258. Afterwards, let's pick a fun restaurant nearby for lunch! And of course we'll need to stop by 4 Sisters 💖 We'll start the event at 10:30-ish, but we'll be setting up starting at 10am, so feel free to come early and meet everyone!

Imbolc is a celebration of hope; a reminder that Spring is just around the corner. In Ireland, they celebrated Imbolc as the special day of the Goddess Brigid. Traditionally celebrated on Feb-2, Imbolc is halfway between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. If you live in a place with cold winters, and especially if you depend on the land for food and warmth, this is a very hard time of the year, a time when you may have run out of food with very little growing or available. We may not have the best of health, or money issues, or be worrying about the future. The story of the groundhog seeing his shadow is an old form of weather divination. Imbolc brings us hope and helps clear the way for a new year of growth, renewal, and purity. This is a time to appreciate the budding fertility of the earth, to purify our minds, realign with our purpose, and to dream the biggest dreams we can. And who better to help us do that but the Unicorns?

• What we'll do

We will fill the room with Unicorn Reiki energy, and then call Brigid and the Unicorns and do some sound healing and meditation to help us be purified, to release anger and negativity, re-align, purify, heal, and be free. And then comes the dreaming. Oh yes. In a safe place, with healing enchantments, safety and peace, you will be safe to dream the biggest dream you possibly can! And then we'll pour those dreams into an enchanted candle that you can take home and burn, to release into the universe.

• What to bring

If you're coming in person, you might want to bring a yoga mat or pillow to be comfortable during the meditation. It's a large carpeted room with chairs, so you can be seated or lie down as you choose.

• Logistics

The Renton Library has lots of free parking and easy bus routes. If you need a ride, feel free to post in the chat! Children of all ages are welcome! We'll have fun unicorn coloring activities and the library has a section also, in case they are too young to participate in the dreaming. Feel free to bring snacks or drinks if you wish!

No prior experience or skills required. This is a FREE, family-friendly, body-positive, LGBTQ-friendly, ALL-WELCOMING event! Hugs and rainbow blessings! 💖🦄 💖
