Maha Shivaratri, known as "The Great Night of Shiva," is a significant occasion in the Vedic Calendar, celebrated across India and globally. Traditionally, this night is marked by fasting, prayer, and the singing of bhajans. It's a time for devotees to engage in rituals and seek blessings for their spiritual journeys.
The mythology surrounding Maha Shivaratri is rich and profound. It honors the dance of Shiva known as the Tandava, symbolizing creation, preservation, and destruction. It also commemorates his union with Goddess Parvati and the sacred appearance of the Shiva Lingham, which represents the victory of light over ignorance.
We invite you to be part of this divine celebration led by Daniel Rawson, who will conduct an Abhishekam puja. Following the puja, enjoy an evening of kirtan with House of Bliss and GaiaTree, filled with chanting and prayer. To enhance your experience, delicious cakes and chai will be available for purchase.
This is a ticketed event, and we encourage a suggested donation to support the evening. Come together with us in reverence, joy, and community as we honor the essence of Maha Shivaratri!
