CELEBRATE THE 7TH

LIVERPOOL’S FOUNDATION FROM 1810 FEATURING MRS M (ELIZABETH MACQAURIE)

Join us to mark 215 years since Governor Lachlan Macquarie declared a new town

“…fit for the purpose… and named it Liverpool”

 

Listen to professional storyteller Jo Henwood as she brings to life Macquarie’s Journal as the Governor’s wife Mrs M (Elizabeth Macquarie) narrating the morning and following days of Liverpool’s foundation.

 

The program is presented within our new exhibition ‘Fit for the Purpose - Building Liverpool, beyond the colony’

 

Followed by tea and a slice of cake.
