Celebrating Community Climate Action: A Partnership Gathering
Event description
Join us to celebrate the power of community leadership in driving a fast and fair transition to net zero.
At our next Partnership gathering on 18 June at Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, we’ll be celebrating community climate and nature action and reflecting on how to support communities to lead on this vital work.
This event will bring together community groups, businesses and the public sector to recognise inspiring local climate and nature action, share ideas, and create connections that enable further change.
Our speakers will focus on the role of community leadership in the net zero transition and nature recovery, with opportunities for small group discussions and informal networking.
This gathering is part of our National Lottery funded Community Climate Action Project, an ambitious citywide programme demonstrating the important role communities can play in achieving the city’s climate and nature ambitions, whilst also improving people’s quality of life.
Registration opens at 1.15pm, with the main event programme beginning at 1.45pm. Please arrive by 1.30pm to ensure you have time to get settled.
After the main event has finished at 5.15pm, we welcome you to stay until 7pm for drinks, nibbles and to continue conversations.
It’s free to attend but spaces are limited so do reserve your place. We ask that all organisations limit their attendance to only two people per organisation where possible to help us to ensure a wide range of organisations can attend.
Food and drinks
The event starts at 1.45pm and there will be drinks and light refreshments available, with canapes available at 5.15pm during the networking session. There will be a bar serving soft drinks and alcohol from 5.15pm for those who wish to stay for networking. All food will be vegetarian, but please let us know about other dietary requirements when you book. Please note a full lunch is not provided.
