Celebrating Cultures Pop-Up: Kōruru Mask Workshop

Get creative, with contemporary artist Ngaroma Riley, in this hands-on workshop inspired by the kōruru, the carved face traditionally found at the apex of a wharenui (meeting house). Learn about the cultural significance of these striking Māori carvings before designing and decorating your own kōruru-inspired mask to take home. Suitable for all ages, this fun and engaging workshop offers an opportunity to explore Māori art, symbolism, and storytelling through creativity. No experience is needed, and all materials are provided.
