Celebrate SA Shellfish and their Stories

Price $15 – $20 AUD + BF Get tickets

Event description

Celebrate SA's shellfish with stories of their resilience and achievements.

SA's native oysters have been abundant, scarce, now reviving, with innovative trials and champions for their survival.
Pacific oysters abound and are successfully established commercially. They live in great numbers along the Port River with mixed views about their 'success'.

Razorfish could be considered SA’s most enduring shellfish ‘reefs’ and often host other shellfish.

Presenter Brad Martin, whose PhD study is of the fish communities associated with shellfish reefs in the Port River, has learnt much about shellfish shaping SA’s coastlines, fisheries, and communities.

Brad’s research involves videoing local shellfish reefs and checking through the many living creatures around them.

Enjoy the visual beauty and diversity of the shellfish of the Port River with a complimentary wine/beer/non alcoholic drink.
