Trust for Nature and Bush Heritage Australia invite you to join the 12th annual Celebrating Women in Conservation Breakfast on Friday 3 March 2023.

Hear from our inspiring guest speaker Nicola Toki, CEO at Forest & Bird NZ about her journey to leadership in the conservation sector, the environmental challenges shared and unique to her country and the significance of working with First Nations people.

KEY NOTE SPEAKER

NICOLA TOKI is a New Zealand conservationist and head of the country’s largest conservation organisation, Forest & Bird. Nicola has an impressive history of conservation leadership and advocacy for New Zealand’s wildlife and wild places, having worked in a range of roles across the private and public sector for almost 20 years. 

Nicola has held leadership roles in the agribusiness industry, the Predator Free New Zealand movement, as the Department of Conservation’s Threatened Species Ambassador, and has represented New Zealand at international biodiversity science and policy meetings. Prior to her recent appointment as CEO at Forest & Bird, Nicola was the Operations Director for the Eastern South Island at the NZ Department of Conservation.

Tanya Ha is an award-winning Australian environmental campaigner, author, broadcaster, science journalist, and sustainability researcher.  She is also a media commentator on science and environmental issues, a behaviour change researcher, and was a delegate to the Australia 2020 Summit.
