A collage workshop - Celebrating World Collage Day
Event description
Interested in collage making or looking to try an alternative art form?   Celebrate World Collage Day on Saturday May 13 and meet other creatives in the community at GIGS artists studio.
Immerse yourself in this unique art  form and  learn about the world of contemporary collage. Donna will guide you through a variety of image-making styles and techniques to make your very own masterpiece (or two!)
Whether you’re attending solo, with a date, or mate, this workshop is unlike anything else you've experienced.  Donna can’t wait to help you get in touch with your inner artist. You will leave with completed works and ideas for more.
Collage is also a wonderful tool to help plan works in other mediums. I can see I could take the banner image into a painting, a quilt or an embroidery.  The image could be abstracted or realistic. The checker board patter altered in so many ways! Â
All skill levels and experience welcome. All materials provided.
Suitable for ages 12 years plus. Children must be accompanied by an Adult at all times.
Tea, coffee and cake provided..  BYO lunch.
Donna is an experienced mixed media tutor and regularly exhibits her work. Most recently, some of Donna's collaged works were selected and on display at the Cube as part the City of Wodonga Ephemeral Arts Program and formed part of works in the exhibtion From Where I Sit: Stories from Within at the Albury Library/Museum.  Donna has works hanging at GIGS Art Gallery.
