Festive Lights Shared Delights
Description
Join us for a free afternoon of music, festive food, family activities and plenty of naches.
With support from Glen Eira City Council’s Social Cohesion Grant, we’re sharing our Hannukah celebration with the wider community. Festive Lights, Shared Delights captures the spirit of the afternoon: sharing the light of Hannukah and connecting with friends and neighbours through music, food and celebration.
Rooted in yidishkayt, the program brings together MKS with Karen Feldman singing Yiddish songs, SoulSong Choir and Glen Eira City Band, hosted by MC Elise Hearst.
Enjoy songs of celebration and hope in Yiddish, Hebrew, French and African languages, alongside Christmas favourites written by Jewish composers and given a klezmer twist.
This Hannukah will carry both joy and sorrow as we approach the first anniversary of the Bondi tragedy. Coming together offers space to honour that grief while continuing our traditions of celebration, connection and sharing light.
We warmly welcome people of all backgrounds to join us.
Free entry · Registration essential.
