Celebration - Unruly Edges: Beyond the Human - An Anthropology Photo Exhibition

Join us for the celebration of the 2024 Anthropology Photo Exhibition that will be on display during business hours from 9 September to 23 September during 2024 Immersia!

The exhibition delves into multi-sensorial ethnography with a focus on 'Beyond the Human.' Fieldwork and research photography highlight connections with the more-than-human.

The exhibition features research on different species, ancestral beings, or monsters, including tangible and intangible materiality, exploring how these entities evoke memories, emotions, or connections tied to specific places or individuals.

The exhibition’s central question is: Do these significant beings compel us to consider unruly edges, where interdependencies beyond the human cannot be ignored?

Light refreshments will be provided. 

This event, hosted by the ANU School of Culture, History & Language's flagship festival Immersia, is supported by the ANUSA Student Extracurricular Fund (SEEF), the ANU Mongolia Institute and the ANU South Asian Research Institute (SARI).
