CellAg Summit
Event description
Cellular agriculture, which uses a suite of technologies to produce agricultural products using cells and biotechnologies, is an enormous opportunity for the Australian economy.
With our unrivalled cell biology and tissue engineering expertise, a reputation for strong food safety standards, and our proximity to markets seeking additional protein, Australia is positioned to be a world leader in cellular agriculture. In fact, the market is estimated to be worth as much as $1.8 billion by 2035.
But if we’re going to make the most of this opportunity, a lot of work needs to be done and some significant hurdles need to be overcome.
Future Alternative, in collaboration with Cellular Agriculture Australia, is proud to be hosting the CellAg Summit, a dedicated, full-day conference for Australia’s cellular agriculture sector.
Supported by the NSW Government, Vow and All G Foods (Gold Sponsors), Sartorius (Silver) as well as Eden Brew and Merck (Bronze), the CellAg Summit will be held on Thursday 15 June at Fishburners in Sydney’s CBD, and will see some of the brightest minds in precision fermentation and cell cultivation take the stage.
With a clear goal of identifying and discussing solutions to key industry challenges, the CellAg Summit will examine topics including:
● Consumer awareness and perception
● Scaling and access to infrastructure
● Commercial viability and cost competitiveness
● Scientific and engineering challenges
● The investment landscape
