Cementa26 Contemporary Arts Festival

Cementa26 returns to Kandos from 17–20 September for four days of contemporary art, performance, sound, making, conversation and unexpected encounters across the town and surrounding landscape.

Set on Wiradjuri Country in the post-industrial town of Kandos, between the Blue Mountains and Mudgee, Cementa is a biennial contemporary arts festival shaped by the place in which it happens.

This year’s festival moves through halls, shopfronts, backyards, paddocks, parks, a railway station, a train carriage and the landscape beyond Kandos. Expect installations and performance alongside workshops, music, communal spaces and artists inviting you to make, talk, listen, sing, wander and spend time together.

Most of Cementa26 is completely free.

Some special events require separate tickets, including Kayak Orchestra, Sounds for the Stars and Kandos Kringe.

A quick Kandos tip: bring some cash with you. A number of local businesses are cash only, so it’s worth arriving prepared.

Please note standard entry fees apply at Kandos Museum, supporting the operation of this volunteer-run community museum.
