Centennial of the Midland Railway Line - Photographers Event
Event description
The Canterbury Railway Society Inc and the Ferrymead Railway are celebrating the Centennial of the Midland Railway Line by hosting a Photographers Event on Saturday 5th August 2023 from 10am - 7pm.
This will feature:
- Electric Locomotive Display in Moorhouse Yard.
- Demonstration Construction, Goods, and Passenger Train consists familiar to the Midland Line from 1920's to the 1960's.
- A meal break for attendees to organise their own dinner.
- Evening Photo Session around the Moorhouse Station and Yard.
Full schedule will be available closer to the event.
If you are a member of The Canterbury Railway Society Inc or another society onsite at Ferrymead you will be able to enter the park for free but still need to purchase a Photographers Pass.
The full lineup of equipment would not be possible without the co-operation of the Diesel Traction Group Inc and The National Railway Museum of New Zealand.
