Join us for breakfast with Muzafar Ali, refugee, humanitarian and founder of Cisarua Learning, as he cycles 4,000km from Maleny to Adelaide to raise $250,000 for refugee and women’s education in Afghanistan and Indonesia.
We'll be having coffee and a feed before he sets of for the next section, come ride or share this rare opportunity to hear Muzafar’s powerful stories from underground girls’ schools in Afghanistan and refugee-led classrooms in Indonesia—initiatives that began with just $200 and now support over 1,300 students.
For those wanting to ride with Muzafar:
Option 1 : ride with Dave Halloran from Bar Italia, Norton Street, Leichhardt to Centennial Park - departing 08:00 am sharp
Option 2: Meet in Centennial Park at Centennial Homestead CH Pantry Cafe at 08:45 am
After coffee we will cycle out with Muzafar as he sets off on the next section of his epic ride to the Blue Mountains. The route is still being decided by Muzafar's team but will likely pass by Leichhardt. Ride as far as you want, leave the ride when you want. Bring an OPAL card for rail-bail option.
