This is more than just an opportunity to give back; it's a chance to make a real difference in the conservation of a critically endangered plant community.

Imagine, this plant community once sprawling across 5300 hectares, ESBS now clings to a mere 146 hectares, a mere 1% of its former glory. But together, we can change this narrative and breathe life back into this shrinking ecosystem.

As a volunteer, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the site's biodiversity. You'll also create a nurturing environment for native flora and fauna to flourish. Picture yourself leading the transformation of the land, removing invasive weeds, revitalising soil, propagating native plant species and planting new native plants into the ground.

But that's not all - we're not just about ecological restoration. Our program offers so much more. You'll have the opportunity to understand through dreamtime stories our First Nations People connection with Country. we'll engage in special activities that lie at the heart of our first nations people.

We welcome groups of all sizes, from 15 to 25, and if you're a larger group eager to step out of the office and embrace nature, we can accommodate you too!

SCHEDULE

8.30am: Volunteers meet Centennial Parklands’ representative for the welcome and safety briefing.

9am - 10am: Conservation work commences. Work may include weeding, litter collection, soil revitalisation, seed collection, propagation, watering or planting.

10am – 10.30am: Morning tea break. BYO morning tea or purchase from cafes onsite.

10.30am - 11.30am: Cultural engagement stories and activities.

11.30am - 12.30pm: Volunteering concludes.
