This event is part of our agritourism network series, and is for anyone interested in agritourism within CHB. It is a great opportunity to connect with like-minded people and become part of the local agritourism community.

We have two fabulous guest speakers at our March event, who will share their agritourism journeys and thoughts on the future.

Kiri Elworthy - Tora Coastal Walk

Kiri Elworthy joins us to share the story of Tora Coastal Walk. Founded in 1995, this iconic agritourism venture is now three decades old. It is a trailblazer in the New Zealand private walk scene, and has managed to navigate change and stay abreast of customer expectations to become the success it is. Kiri shares the Walk’s incredible story and gives her insights into navigating the future as agritourism operators.

Mickey Trotter - Blackburn Ridge

Mickey and her husband Clem, farm 2,600 hectares across Hawke's Bay. This year they launched their agri-tourism business "Blackburn Ridge" on their home block, Glen Appin farm in Ongaonga, CHB. They began their agri-tourism journey to share the incredible views the Blackburn Ridge and surrounding area has to offer, with others, along with diversifying their farm income streams.

Blackburn Ridge caters for a range of abilities and fitness levels. There are several options on offer for walkers, E-Bikers and for those simply wishing to stay and enjoy time away in a charming 1800's country homestead. You can explore the hill country and take in the stunning views.
