Chb dc would like to invite you to attend the Central Hawkes Bay Agritourism – Exploring our opportunities workshop.

This event is for anyone who has been wondering how to turn their agritourism idea into a reality.

Come along and explore ways farmers, growers and catchment groups, can bring in domestic and international visitors to diversify and grow their income.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Who is it for?

  • Farmers, growers, and small block holders who are interested in diversifying their farm income by establishing a new venture within their farm. This could be accommodation, food or beverage, a new crop, a great view, a retreat, or an experience.
  • Catchment groups looking to showcase the work they are doing and commercialise the opportunity for domestic and international visitors.
  • Landowners looking at adding value to food, fibre, and nature by producing products off their farm.

What will it cover?

  • Agritourism product development – assessing your farm or catchment for agritourism potential, identifying & maximising opportunities on your farm.
  • Agritourism benefits for landowners and communities, and keys to agritourism business success.
  • Case studies from local business who have already diversified their farm business through food, accommodation, or experience options.

        Workshop Details

        Date: Thursday 1st February, 2024

        Time: Half day workshop 10am -2:15pm

        Where: Central Hawke’s Bay Municipal Theatre, 18 Kenilworth Street, Waipawa.

        Cost: $80.00 per person or $120 per business (up to four people)

        Lunch will be provided.

        This is a great opportunity to discuss and develop your farm products and agritourism ideas with an experienced team. You will meet likeminded people and understand the regional tourism strategy and options for ongoing support.
