CENTRE STAGE
Description
Why Centre Stage?
There are things we know, things we believe, things we have lived, and things we have yet to say.
Centre Stage is an invitation to give greater voice to what matters.
Across an afternoon of ideas, stories and conversation, we'll explore the scripts we inherit, the roles we inhabit, the voices we amplify or diminish, and what can happen when we begin to author what comes next.
Drawing on more than four decades in theatre, Simone de Haas brings a director's intelligence to questions of voice, identity, presence, belonging and the often unseen dynamics that shape how we experience ourselves and one another.
Expect fresh perspectives, provocative questions, real stories and conversations that move between the personal and the collective.
We'll finish the afternoon with drinks, nibbles and the opportunity to connect and continue the conversation.
What in you has waited long enough to be heard?

Sing the Unsung Self explores what changes when we stop performing for approval, reclaim our authority and give greater voice to what has waited long enough to be heard. Closing Keynote: The Heroine's Journey
