Ceramic Altars with Melora Garcia

This workshop consists of two class dates: June 13 from 1-5 pm AND June 27 1-3 pm. Your payment includes both classes.  

Join artist Melora Garcia for a two-part mixed media workshop exploring memory and personal storytelling through clay. Participants will learn slab building techniques to construct their own ceramic altar. In the first session, we will shape and build our altars by hand, adding personal touches with underglaze and hand-built charms. In the second session, you will learn how to transfer a personal photograph onto your piece using acrylic gel medium. Guests are encouraged to submit images that capture joyful memories to incorporate onto the surface of their altar. This workshop invites you to slow down, create with intention, and transform memories into sculptural keepsakes.
