Ceramic and Candle Workshop

Join Jenelle from MakeJoy Creative and Courtney from Celyse Studio for a one-of-a-kind creative workshop at Auric Gallery on Saturday, April 13th from 12-2 PM for a workshop fee of $100.

Using marbled-colored clay and hand-building techniques, Jenelle will guide you through the process of creating unique and personalized ceramic candle holders. Courtney will then lead you through the art of hand painting your own tapered candle sticks. Set in the beautiful gallery space of Auric Gallery amongst local artists' artwork, this workshop is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow creatives and explore your artistic side.

All tools and materials needed to complete both creative projects are included in the workshop fee. Whether you're a seasoned artist or a beginner, this workshop is designed to meet you where you are. Join us at Auric Gallery and discover the joy of making for yourself!

Meet Your Instructors!
Jenelle Grosser is an artist, educator, and owner of MakeJoy Creative. She holds a BFA in Ceramics from Illinois State University and a Master of Arts Management and Cultural Programming from Colorado State University. At MakeJoy Creative, Jenelle's mission is to share the joy of making with the world. Join her on a journey of creativity and discovery, and experience the joy of making for yourself.

Courtney Patterson is owner of Celyse Studio. She has always loved home fragrance and turned her candle-making hobby into a business in 2020. A couple of years into her business venture, she expanded from selling products on Etsy to teaching in-person classes at local small businesses in Colorado Springs. She now teaches candle-making, wax sachet, and reed diffuser bouquet classes around town every month.
