Ceramic Egg Vase Workshop - Mittagong

THE JOY OF HAND-BUILDING YOUR OWN EGG VASE!

Empty your mind and heighten your senses as you explore the ancient art of hand building as you craft a stunning egg vase made by you.

In this workshop I'll walk through the different clay options available for this type of vessel building.                                                                     I'll show you how to roll and compress your clay and then how to use a mould to craft your forms and how to join the separate pieces to form your egg. Then I'll show you how to compress your clay and create the mouth of the vase. 

Who is this for?
This workshop is for individuals wishing to connect more deeply with their creative Self and those who want to re-connect with their body in a somatic experience and generally anyone wanting to re-enforce 
So too, anyone feeling weighed down by the energetic “noise” around them. This workshop is for anyone wishing to ground and enhance their boundaries and to experience greater stability and balance.

What You’ll Receive:                                                                                                                                                                                    Practical methods to prepare the clay, fashion your desired shape and birth your egg vase
 After 2 weeks of drying your egg will be half glaze dipped (fully on the inside) and fired - ready for collection 3 weeks after the workshop.

All materials are provided:  

STEP ONE: clay, mould, tools

STEP TWO: glaze and kiln firing

Plus a delicious organic morning tea. 
Just bring an open heart, a water bottle and you'll have everything you need.
