CERES School Programs is hosting a First Nations Perspectives Professional Development Workshop for school teachers and educators on June 21st. This full day PD will empower teachers to use nature for connection and storytelling, and build on First Nations perspectives and knowledge.

We are delighted that two of Zoos Victoria's fantastic Educators Lisa Hodgson and Rebecca Gray will be delivering a workshop on embedding First Nations perspectives within the school curriculum. Lisa, a Noongar woman, is passionate about the outdoors and all living things and she delights in sharing stories and educating about the many different cultures within Australia. Rebecca is a passionate conservationist and Early years and Primary Educator who aims to nurture a sense of wonder and appreciation for wildlife in all students and empower them to care for the natural world.

You can expect a wonderful day that will include -

Cultural introduction and Merri Merri creek walk
Activities led by CERES Cultural Educators
Zoos Victoria's Embedding First Nations perspectives in the school curriculum workshop, and
Plenty of opportunity for networking and connection

Not to mention, fantastic food from Mabu Mabu (includes morning tea and lunch).

A certificate of PD attendance will be available.
