CERES Student Leadership Summit for Northern Primary Schools (Term 1, 2025)
Event description
Primary schools in the Northern Metro Melbourne region are invited to join us for a full day Student Leadership Summit!
The Student Leadership Summit brings young leaders together in an immersive experience that inspires collaborative change and empowers students to envision a sustainable future. The Summit includes interactive activities, discussion, and planning, facilitated by CERES’ experts in sustainability education. With multiple schools in attendance, young leaders have a rare opportunity to connect, collaborate, and be inspired by their peers from a diverse range of backgrounds who are passionate about making a difference.
In their Summit experience, students will:
- Create a sustainable vision for their school community with other like-minded young leaders
- Investigate knowledge in sustainability areas (waste, energy, and biodiversity) with hands-on activities
- Develop project planning skills by generating a school sustainability action plan
- Boost leadership capabilities and self-confidence through participation in role-plays and presentations
We invite each school to bring one teacher and up to 3 students. Only one registration is required per school. Tea and coffee, morning tea, and lunch are provided for teachers, students please BYO nude food.
Would you like a tour of CERES with your students on the day?
To further experience all the wonders of CERES, we’ll be offering a 30 minute tour at 3pm on the day of the summit for any teachers and students interested.
Please note: This Summit is for schools in the Northern metropolitan region who are not in the ResourceSmart Schools program. If you are a ResourceSmart School working with CERES, please register for this summit event instead. Not sure if your school is in the program?
