Certified Change Communication Professional (CCCP)

Course Description:

Elevate Your Impact: Master Change Communication

In an era of relentless disruption, constant noise, and "AI-everything," the most valuable asset in any organisation isn't the technology—it’s the ability to lead people through the transition.

Business leaders are no longer looking for generalists; they are seeking specialists who can navigate the "attention economy" and drive real behavioural change that helps achieve business results.

The CSCE Certified Change Communication Professional program, created by Mel Loy SCMP, is designed specifically for professionals with some change communication experience who want to master the craft, gain further insights and tools, and build credibility.

Why this certification?

While AI can draft a newsletter, it cannot empathise with a fearful workforce or navigate the complex biases of human decision-making. This course equips you with the EPIC Change Communication Framework, grounded in behavioural science and proven psychological principles. You won’t just learn to communicate; you’ll learn to cut through the noise using human-centred strategies.

What to expect:

Global Accessibility: Three 90-minute live virtual modules with sessions timed for multiple time zones.
Science-Backed Strategy: Deep dives into how our brains work and what that means for your change communication practices.
Practical Mastery: A final project-based assessment that demonstrates your ability to apply the learning to real-world scenarios.

Who should attend:

Professionals who have experience in change communication (eg, internal comms, change managers, leaders, HR specialists) and want to demonstrate a specialist skill in change communication. They are looking for credibility to help them take the next step in their career.

About your trainer:

Mel Loy, MCSCE, SCMP

Mel Loy is a self-confessed serial ideator, obsessed with how humans behave and what that means for effective communication. She got her start in the world of words by studying journalism, and soon discovered that while she never wanted to be a journalist, she loved learning about the power of communication.

Fast forward 20-plus years, and her resume was stacked with increasingly responsible corporate communication roles across emergency services, construction and mining, early learning, retail and more.

In late 2020, after leading her corporate communication team through the COVID-19 pandemic, Mel happily accepted a redundancy and skipped off towards the horizon, starting her own agency and never looking back.

These days, her small but mighty team at Cuttlefish provides consulting and training services to clients all over Australia and overseas, specialising in internal, change, crisis and strategic communication.

Mel is the author of two books: Change Isn’t Hard: a playbook for practical, people-centred change communication, and Less Chatter, More Matter: the SKILLS to communicate more effectively; and the host of the Less Chatter, More Matter podcast. She is also an international award winner for her communication training programs and strategies, a sought-after workshop facilitator and keynote speaker, and a certified Strategic Communication Management Professional (SCMP). Mel is the Immediate Past President of the IABC (International Association of Business Communicators) Queensland Chapter.
