    About your facilitators...

    YOGA

    Claire Pianta is the creative force and director of flow at Common Earth Studio. She created this space as a safe sanctuary for our local community to retreat and connect with their own inner light and cosmic creativity. Common Earth is a place to share the roots of ancient practices in support of the flow of modern life. Claire's yoga journey has taken her to the far reaches of the globe. She has been teaching yoga for over 12 years and has been the external provider of yoga programs at Guildford Grammar School for the past 5 years. Claire continues to study Ayurveda, Yoga and Vedic Meditation through her teachers in Bali, India and beyond. Her passion for bringing people home to their true essence radiates through her somatic language that connects her students to their inner space and blissful body with poetic ease. Claire teaches from an authentic place of sharing how Yoga, Meditation, Pranayama (breath-work) and Sound Healing have been integral in her management of stress and anxiety over many years of devoted practice.

    SOUND HEALING

    January Kultura is a globally recognized healer and multi-instrumental frequency musician. She has healed herself and others from chronic debilitating illness that modern medicine couldn’t support. She uses healing foods and sound therapies and continues to support people around the world with 'mystery' illnesses to bring them back to health. She has a deep love for world cultures creating her unique blend of earthly sounds derived from the roots of her island home.  She has performed on the world stage with highly regarded artists.

    Just some of the benefits of experiencing the Sound Healing;

    ·   Connecting with your personal Intuition

    ·   Find clarity in the mind & sharpens thoughts

    ·   Strengthening the solar plexus

    ·   Grounding within the body

    ·   Softening the heart

    ·   Cultivating strong healthy boundaries

    Suggestions on what to bring...

    • Yoga Mats and Bolsters are provided. If you are experiencing existing back or knee pain, we recommend bringing your own yoga mat so you can double up over the studio mat for more cushioning.
    • We have some cushions and blankets available, however, you might like to BYO pillow and your own favorite luxe personal blanket for Yoga Nidra.
    • An eye pillow if you have one. These are available to purchase at the studio store if you would like a more internal experience.
    • A water bottle...remember to hydrate hydrate, hydrate before and after the session as this gentle practice works quite deeply in the body.
    • We recommend wearing loose or stretchy layers and bringing warm socks as the body can cool down quite rapidly in Yoga Nidra. Please bring a sweater, although the space is heated we like to have the fans down low for minimal noise distraction during the meditation.
